ABOUT ZERO WASTE WEEK
HELPING YOU PRESERVE RESOURCES AND SAVE MONEY SINCE 2008
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US...
Founded in 2008, the Zero Waste Week team help individuals, businesses, organisations, schools, universities and community groups reduce landfill waste, save money and preserve resources.
They have the winning formula of knowing how to engage people both on and offline.
Anna knows how to get that all-important public engagement and is an expert on the practical stuff.
Rachelle is your first point of contact and takes care of marketing. She also runs the official and award-winning Zero Waste Week campaign each September.
Richard looks after the technical stuff so that your visit to the site is speedy, functional and beautiful.
Brut UK video
"99% of what we buy is either consumed or trashed." This is how a terrifying natural disaster led Rachelle Strauss to create Zero Waste Week.

Rachelle is the founder of Zero Waste Week and the go-to girl for the British media on all things waste reduction. She’ll help you choose the right package and book your talk. She provides follow up resources, so you can keep waste and recycling on the agenda and your audience engaged. She’s the one who cracks the whip in your inbox to keep you accountable. She once took Jeremy Irons shopping for a naked cucumber.
SPEAKER / AUTHOR
Anna has been delivering workshops and clubs in schools and businesses for over 20 years. She holds the City & Guilds 7306 Further and Adult Education Teachers’ Certificate and has a BA (Hons) in Education. She’s appeared on ITV, BBC News and Radio 4 promoting Zero Waste strategies. A sought-after speaker, Anna keeps her audience engaged and leaves them feeling inspired and empowered to take positive action.
Around the turn of the century, Richard had the crazy idea to build his own website. It featured a sandwich-eating bear (we do hope that sandwich came without clingfilm) and welcomed around 8 visitors a week. He now builds sites for his clients that get to the top of the search engine results, receive thousands of visitors per week and generate income. Sandwich eating bears are optional.
RESEARCH / CONTENT WRITER
Raised in Australia, and surrounded by amazing scenery and wildlife, Hannah has been passionate about the environment for as long as she can remember. She's on a mission to figure out what makes people tick and make conscious consumerism the norm. She's brilliant at research and keeping on top of the current trends in the sustainable field, so that Zero Waste Week content is relevant and appealing to all.
