Last weekend was my Birthday, so I thought I’d take you on a trip down memory lane.
Once upon a time I took Jeremy Irons out to shop naked.
Yes, two years ago I was strolling through town with Jez, carrying boxes and bags and showing him how to shop without creating too much landfill waste.
He was riveted.
Well, who wouldn’t be?
We talked about the joys of finding a naked cucumber.
The wonders of buying just the amount you need.
And the savings you could make by supporting local farmers and markets.
You’ll see from the still below he clearly couldn’t believe that after all this time he was finally getting to meet Mrs Green.
He even invited me to share his zero waste sandwich.
All of this was captured on camera and turned into a film called “Trashed” which premièred in Cannes in 2012, has been shown in over 40 countries and won 8 awards.
The film explores the topic of waste and sustainability across the world.
In this two minute segment you’ll see us having a yarn about landfill waste, the confusion of recycling symbols and the number one thing you need to do before you part with your cash at the checkout.
