I’ll admit it.
When I heard about a woman who made accessories from tyres heading for landfill I was sceptical.
I’ve seen many upcycled products in my time that have, quite frankly, only been fit for the bin. The sentiment was right, but the execution left a lot to be desired.
So when Laura contacted me, inviting me to view her collection I was less than enthusiastic.
But then I took a look!
And I admit I was blown away by her creativity.
Laura Zabo makes fashion accessories (for you and your pet!) from scrap bicycle tyres and inner tubes which she rescues from landfill.
She sells belts, jewellery, handbags, clothing, sandals, guitar straps, home decor and dog accessories – and the collection is constantly growing.
To celebrate Zero Waste Week, Laura is offering two lucky people a £50 voucher each to spend in her online shop.
All you have to do is ‘like’ her Facebook page and let me know that you have!
I’ll race you to the ra-ra skirt!
